motor carrier
A carrier by motor vehicle. A carrier operating one or more motor vehicles for the purpose of carrying passengers or freight or both, for hire and profit, over the public highways as a transportation roadbed. Barbour v Walker, 126 Okla 229, 259 P 552. The term includes both a common carrier by motor vehicle and a contract carrier by motor vehicle. Section 303(a) of the Motor Carrier Act of 1935; Interstate Commerce Com. (DC Okla) 41 F 268.
