successors

successors
A term in a contract indicating assignability. 6 Am J2d Assign § 10. The use of the word in an order of the National Labor Relations Board has been upheld by the United States Supreme Court, although the court has indicated that the liability of such a successor in regard to carrying out a board order is dependent more on the nature of the transaction between the parties than on the wording of the order. Regal Knitwear Co. v NLRB, 324 US 9, 89 L Ed 661, 65 S Ct 478, affg (CA2) 140 F2d 746. See successor.
