An arranged visit by the jury to the scene of matters involved in the action or of premises involved in the issues of the case, made pursuant to a order of court. 53 Am J1st Trial § 441. In criminal procedure, the taking of the jury, during the trial, to see and examine the place where the crime is alleged to have been committed. 21 Am J2d Crim L § 295.
