adversary trial

A trial in which there are adversary parties before the court, who have had full opportunity to present and establish their opposing contentions, if any they have. Bolden v Sloss-Sheffield Steel & Iron Co. 215 Ala 334, 110 So 574, 49 ALR 1206, 1214.
