advertising lottery

The statutory offense provided for in nearly all jurisdictions of advertising in any manner whatsoever, either directly or indirectly, any lottery or the place or manner of conducting the same, or any offer or proposition to insure those participating therein from loss. In many instances the statutes are applicable to all forms of advertising, whether the lottery is to be drawn or conducted within the state or not. 34 Am J1st Lot § 27.
