Trade Expansion Act

A federal statute of 1962 the purpose of which is to stimulate the economic growth of the United States and maintain and enlarge foreign markets for the products of United States agriculture, industry, mining, and commerce, such stimulation to be accomplished through trade agreements with foreign countries. 19 USC §§ 1801-1991; 21 Am J2d Cust D § 19.
