compounding for differences

A form of gambling in stocks, securities, and commodities, wherein a fictitious sale is made for delivery at a future time with no intention to deliver and settlement is to be made on the difference between the contract price and the market price at such future time. 24 Am J1st Gaming §§ 66, 67.
